🗓 Safari Itinerary
This morning we will pick you up from your hotel or at the Airport and we depart from Nairobi at 8.30 am and head by road to Kenya’s Northern Frontier District. Wild and rugged, Samburu is fiercely beautiful with its arid savannahs watered by the lovely Ewaso Ng'iro River. It is also one of Kenya’s most protected areas and home to species only found north of the equator, from the reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebras, Beisaoryxes, Gerenuk gazelle and Greater and lesser kudu.

After breakfast, we will depart for another morning game drive and return to the lodge for lunch
followed by swimming, games, and relaxation. Late afternoon, we will set off this time, for an
evening game drive until sunset to witness the serenity of this reserve. Samburu National
Reserve exudes a peaceful aura that attracts animals and greatly because of the Ewaso Ng'iro
river (meaning brown water) that runs through it and surrounded by acacia, riverine forest, thorn
trees and grassland vegetation. The Ewaso Ng'iro flows from the Kenyan highlands and empties
into the famous Lorian Swamp. The natural serenity that is evident here is due to its distance
from industry and the inaccessibility of the reserve for many years. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

After breakfast we will take a further game drive before driving on past the northern tip of the Aberdare Mountains to descend into the Great Rift Valley, Lake Nakuru is approached via the Thompson Falls. Here, you have high chances of seeing both white and black rhinos; both critically endangered yet making their homes and continuing their species’ legacy right here in the park.
An afternoon game drive will also take in the lake this park is named for. Massive flocks of flamingos feed and nest here, they arrive in such numbers that the water becomes obscured by the shades of pink and magenta of the animals displaying across the water.
Dinner is served in your chosen camp or lodge.

We will cap off the day with an early morning game drive and return to the lodge for breakfast. You may relax at the lodge a bit as you pack your luggage and later leave for Nairobi. Should you be interested, you can pass-by Lake Naivasha for an optional boat ride. Arrive in Nairobi at around 1600hrs. Should there be time before your home flight you might be interested in city tour. If not you will be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to catch your flight bringing to an end what we hope is a safari of your lifetime.
